Introduction

Race Globe is operated by an individual sole proprietor. It is a website that helps athletes discover, compare, save, and record endurance sports events. If you have questions about this policy, contact contact@raceglobe.app.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Race Globe, we may collect the following categories of information.

Account data

When you create an account, we process your email address and password (hashed and managed by Supabase Auth), plus optional profile details such as display name, country, preferred language, and experience level.

User content

If you use Race Passport, we store entries you create—such as saved races, status, preferred distance, and notes. If you use Race Records, we store result details you enter, including finish times, splits, rankings, bib number, rating, personal notes, and source result URLs.

Technical data

Our hosting providers may process standard server logs (for example, IP address, request path, and timestamps) needed to operate and secure the service.

Product analytics

When product analytics is enabled, Race Globe uses PostHog to understand product activity on public pages without linking those analytics events to a visitor’s logged-in Race Globe account. The Race Globe PostHog project uses PostHog EU Cloud. We do not use PostHog V1 to identify a visitor as their logged-in Race Globe account, and PostHog person profiles are disabled.

We do not use Session Replay, heatmaps, automatic click capture, or automatic pageview capture.

When we use product analytics, it may include:

• the action performed, such as viewing an event or clicking Open registration
• public event, sport, destination, or series identifiers that Race Globe deliberately sends
• page path and host
• referring domain
• general browser, operating system, and device class
• timezone
• screen or viewport size
• cookieless session information used to measure product use without creating a named profile

This is not a complete list of every technical detail that may be included.

Race Globe configures this analytics so that it is not intended to send:

• full page URLs or query strings
• full referrer URLs
• the words you type into search
• email address
• name
• phone number
• passwords
• authentication tokens
• your Race Globe or Supabase account ID as the analytics identity
• Race Passport free-text notes
• form contents
• precise personal address
• GPS location
• payment information

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• Provide and maintain the Race Globe service
• Authenticate your account and keep you signed in
• Save races to your Race Passport
• Store and display Race Records you create
• Personalize aspects of your experience based on profile preferences you choose
• Understand how people use Race Globe, including which events and destinations are viewed and whether people click through to official registration, so we can improve the site
• Respond to support requests and communicate about your account when needed

Purpose of processing

We process personal information to operate Race Globe as described in this policy—primarily to provide the features you request, keep the service secure, and improve reliability. We do not make jurisdiction-specific legal claims in this policy. Governing law and jurisdiction will be specified prior to public launch.

Data storage and processors

Race Globe data is hosted using Supabase (database, authentication, and storage) and Vercel (application hosting). These providers may process data in data centers outside your country of residence as part of delivering the service.

When product analytics is enabled, analytics information is processed using PostHog, with the Race Globe project hosted on PostHog EU Cloud.

Third-party tracking

Race Globe does not use third-party advertising trackers or sell your information for advertising. When product analytics is enabled, we use PostHog as described above.

Cookies

Race Globe uses essential cookies and similar storage needed for authentication and session management.

PostHog V1 is configured in cookieless mode. Race Globe does not link PostHog V1 analytics to a visitor’s logged-in Race Globe account.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share information with service processors (such as Supabase and Vercel, and PostHog when product analytics is enabled) only as needed to host and operate Race Globe, or when we are required to do so by law.

Data retention and deletion

We retain account and user-content data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can permanently delete your account from /account. Account deletion removes your profile, Race Passport entries, and Race Records associated with your account.

We keep analytics information only for as long as reasonably needed to understand product use and improve Race Globe.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or delete your account and related data. You can update some profile details in your account settings, and you can delete your account at /account. For other requests, email contact@raceglobe.app.

When product analytics is enabled, Race Globe’s analytics configuration respects a browser Do Not Track signal where supported. That is a technical setting, not a complete way to opt out of all measurement.

Children

Race Globe is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Race Globe after an update means you have had an opportunity to review the revised policy.
